Every sharp katana for sale in this collection can be yours with a real, sharpened edge, not a painted line. These are functional katanas: hand-forged, full tang, built in steels like 1060 carbon, T10 with a hamon and stainless. The range covers anime and game blades, from Sasuke’s Kusanagi and Zoro’s Enma to Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei. Prices start at about $179.

How to choose a functional katana

Steel. Most anime blades, like Sasuke’s Kusanagi, Zoro’s Enma, Sandai Kitetsu and Shusui or Rengoku’s katana, use 1060 carbon steel: tough and easy to maintain. The Ghost of Yotei Wolf Blade uses clay-forged T10 steel. Rukia’s Sode no Shirayuki is stainless steel. Mihawk’s Yoru and Roger’s Ace use regular carbon steel.

Full tang matters. On our katanas, the steel runs through the whole handle. That gives better balance and a stronger blade than a short, partial tang.

Know what “sharp” means. A sharpened blade cuts. Store it sheathed, handle it by the grip, and keep it away from children. Cutting practice belongs on proper targets, like rolled tatami or foam, in a safe space, ideally with training. A tameshigiri stand holds the target for you.

FAQ

How sharp are these katanas?

Sharpened versions come with a real cutting edge. Treat them like any sharp blade: sheathed when stored, out of reach of kids.

What does full tang mean?

The blade’s steel runs all the way through the handle, instead of stopping short. It makes the sword more solid and better balanced.

How do I care for a sharp katana?

Wipe the blade after handling, keep a thin coat of oil on it and store it dry. Our katana cleaning kit has what you need, and our katana care guide shows each step.

Is it legal to own a sharp katana in the US?

Generally yes for adults. But laws vary by state and city, especially for carrying a blade in public. Check your local rules before you order. Outside the US, the buyer checks import rules and pays any customs fees.
